When my husband became an Air Force pilot, I had a calligrapher letter this poem as a gift. There is an appreciation and freedom that pilots can experience that is truly unique, and it seems to be a real thrill for them. Magee must have been a flyer. But, you don’t need to be to appreciate his words.
