I think, for me, it was one of the most difficult things to accept when I began posting again last fall. Time flew by - and not taking into account the ages of some of the posters from MSNBC - was a big grief to realize how many passed on while I was on sabbatical. Deanna and yourself are two of the few posters whose moniker's I recognized when I came back. Deanna brought me up to speed on Frisco - one of the posters who isn't listed at the top of this board and I could name off several dozen more BUT...reviewing all the names above...I recognize 49 that I interacted with in the past couple decades on various boards. Of those, 17 are recently posting on any of the boardhost board's - and that is approximate as I don't scour all the boards continuously - I am not an information collector.
But dear God TEXRA - they can't all be dead can they? I know when the horse is dead it is time to get out of the saddle - but I am confused about why so many left??? I get the flaming is a nuisance...the idea that there are those who stalk other posters reading every word (makes my skin crawl)...and of course, maybe some have the nasty habit of doxx'ing. Is that why some left? You were here...help me understand so I can finally put it to rest.
I keep in contact with a few posters in real life - I think one of those might lurk at bit - but it is a firm NO GO on returning to posting.
There will be no ressurection of the old days it seems.
