Mondo is definitely world class and a master at many things! Way above my league. I just think we share an enjoyment of some of those liberal arts topics such as literature, poetry, mythology etc.,.. - but I still have a lot to learn about it all.
I think I cruised through the MSNBC Opinion board once in awhile but Ian led most of us to the Politics board. And Whooosah was there some action packed drama going on there. I read for weeks before I would even step in to respond to just a normal political post. It is where I met WD, Citizen, Mav and so many many others.
You and ginger, the pioneers of women behind the board curtain I don't think I ever had the interest in maintaining a board - and I definitely did not have the time. As TEXRA mentioned yesterday - the boards were a 'get away' and an outlet for some serious stress. Playing a pixie, and not just any pixie, but one who could really let the less complimentary personality traits out was a perfect stress relief. THAT would NEVER fly on these boards of today - there is little to no damn sense of humor and too much territorialism and way way too much suspicion - but I suspect there is a reason for all of that and I was not here to see what happened that caused it. I don't think I have the energy to maintain that type of persona any more - and being retired - I don't need to - so it's all good, right.
Yes, we ARE all friends and I do believe I understand you - there is alot of other things (like 'the duck' if you remember, if not disregard - and a couple other posters of the past who make a rare appearance) that I do not understand - and some really odd behavior that I DEFINITELY do not understand but at this point - meh - stepping over it.
I am always always going to miss voices from the past but nothing anyone can do to change that right - maybe they are reading from heaven, huh? Although I would imagine by then - there are much better things to be doing.
Thank you Deanna
