The magic of David Roback and Hope Sandoval - the band originally formed in 1989 in California. Roback said most of his inspiration came from eavesdropping in cafe's on the lives of others -then embellishing their stories while writing music at night. The band took a hiatius in 1997 until reuniting to release more music in the 2010s. Sadly, Roback passed away in 2020
