When the rich start selling assets or stop investing to afford taxes it will be the working people who get hurt. Just think of the chaos in the stock market when Bezos, Buffett, Gates, Musk, et al have to sell millions of shares to pay a wealth tax. The millions of small investors will lose more than the very rich.
