Yes…..the Cretaceous Period was the finale of the Mesozoic Era. It was the warmest time the earth had ever experienced. When driving on I-10 towards San Antonio, the highway cuts through the Edward Limestone (Cretaceous). It’s part of a sea corridor that ran from Texas to Alaska. Area of Texas was south of the equator at the time.
