My first job after graduation was with a Canadian Geological Engineering firm based in Toronto. I spent one summer conducting geophysical surveys in mostly cedar swamps in northern Manitoba. I know mosquitoes !! Don’t wear anything colored blue! They love blue! After a couple weeks you become immune to their bites…about the time the deer flies and horse flies show up!!

Bottom line……they’re miserable creatures!'
