...though older Honda 350's and the occasional 450 were by far the most common motorcycles, the Kawasaki triples and the Yamaha 350 2-stroke were the unequalled hot bikes for speed demons. You could hear the shriek of those big Kawasaki triples from a mile away. The Yamaha was blisteringly fast for a 350.

Unfortunately, several of the guys I knew who were big motorcycle fanatics got injured - luckily broken bones only - and one got killed. I had an old Honda 160 for about six months before I decided that motorcycles were not for me.
