A purely continuous variable only exists in mathematical demonstrations. Therefore there is no operational theories that establish any kind of truly continuous component of reality. This includes 'time' (a 4 letter word standing for duration, which can only be understood in terms of smaller and smaller durations that must end ultimately in a smallest duration - from a purely philosophical consideration), space and energy.
