I am starting to think that academics have put up a wall of mathematics as job security, to preserve their status as the fount of all wisdom in the world. Either that, or they have made a number of bad initial assumptions, and followed up, not by correcting the bad initial assumptions, but by creating a brier patch-work of mathematical physics to resolve the resulting problems, that is so complicated that not even they can figure a way out of it.

Without formal training in theoretical physics, I've solved many, if not all, of these problems. Sure, there are still some mysteries, but not as many as they say. Or maybe I'm wrong. It doesn't seem like it though.

To answer the question of the original thread: Yes, the understanding of gravity, that they are pumping out at everyone, is wrong. There are a lot of mainstream scientific theories that can be interpreted in a variety of ways, but there is one way of interpreting them that makes sense, and unifies them all.
