"Technology is progressing" doesn't mean that we WILL find a way to colonize Mars. What is technology progressing in? Have they been consistently tested? What are the results? What resources have been used, and how much?

Technology solves problems, yes, but we live in a physical universe with constraints and problems of practicality and logistics. I find the logic that technology will solve all problems to be a vague handwave. Logically dubious.
