Yes, my mother could easily be on it, though, alas, I couldn’t point her out.
Fifty years ago, the word 'teenager' was used for the first time - coined by Bill Haley and the Comets during a UK tour in February 1957. The children on this 1932 school photograph likely didn’t have teenage years as we know them today, and were probably known as young men and young women – straight into work at 14. In fact, some of the older ones do look like little adults – they’re certainly dressed for the part.
