I'm only just in Scotland, Elizabeth, but with no connections in Hebburn since my Mam died in 1995, I've not seen a lot of changes that I only know about through this board. I don't think I would know my way around now. I was born in Station Road and went to the Newtown and Grammar schools and the Tech, worked at Pyrotenax and Reyrolle.
None of those places now exist, only lots of houses, so I would be a stranger now.
Lots of happy memories of a different world to the modern one, so I'll just end my days re-living the good old days that didn't have so many modern conveniences. Surviving hardship has made me who I am now.
