Re: For the computer buffs
Mornings Chaps ,just seen the post . Buy what you can aford, but there's really only three processors to go for nowadays : i3 - i5 - i7 .The maximum amount of RAM ie 8GB would really speed things up as would a SSD . My Fuji laptop is a i5 with 8GB of RAM and a SSD and it edits HD video etc with ease. The first thing I do to check speed is to go to YouTube and view a HD video .If it buffers and struggles to play then it's old with a dated processor .These are fine for paperwork and general internet surfing but anything more they may have to be upgraded ie , more RAM and a faster hard drive.
I would search for a i3 or i5 at a good price ,the most RAM , you dont need a 1T [terrabyte ] drive the SSD [solid state drive] would be less [240GB] or thereabouts but would be ideal .There is some good deals on-line, I've bough a few from the likes of Ebuyer .Bare in mind most new laptops dont have a CD-ROM , a very usefull item . I would always look for a one with a cdrom. Heres an example from Ebuyer .....memory upgradeable to 16GB , cdrom but the screen resolution is poor at Resolution: 1366 x 768 but it's only £326.99.
