In my third and last year at this school (1973), I remember walking up the stairwell at the boys' end, and as I reached the landing on the top of the stairs Mr. Bolton's pottery/art classroom was to my right with the famous Clegwell bird emblem painted onto the window of the door to the room.
My form teacher was Mr. Coulson - his classroom was the first one on the left in the top corridor after exiting the stairwell.
I remember Mr. Scott and Mr Sawford on this landing. Two other teachers I remember on the landing, between the stairwells, were Mr. Raine and Mr. Hudson.
At the end of the landing, at right angles with the corridor, and exactly opposite Mr. Bolton's pottery classroom, was Mr. Plews' art room. Dressmaking is an art, so having it in the art room was quite resourceful.
Cheers and thank you for the memories,
