The other day I mentioned on the board how exciting it used to be, to be lost in the myriad of corridors as a new pupil at Clegwell school, wondering where the next class was located… well, entering the maze for the first time was a similar feeling to that… but it soon changed!
By the way, they sacked the person that used to cut the maze hedges for taking too long… they told him that getting lost in his work was a terrible excuse.
Lilian, I wonder if you’d be better off with one of those little, plug-in night lights that some children use; it would save you banging your legs on the furniture looking for your torch, and once you see the light plugged into the wall socket, you’ll know where you are in relation to it, and get your bearing immediately.
