ACACIA GROVE: Built on land that was previously Island Lake - part of Hebburn Hall Ponds, drained c.1957.
20 homes, 4 of them built in 1965.
Much wildlife was attracted to the ponds, and many locals would swim there.
In 1850, this was arable land, farmed by Matthew Laws, leased from Cuthbert Ellison.
Named after: Tree.
