ASHWOOD CROFT: Hebburn Quay. Down Ellison Street (from Lyon Street), and first right.
Built on land previously occupied by the old ‘C’ pit yard (later Leslie shipbuilder’s stockyard).
In 1850, this was waste land, part of the Hebburn ‘C’ Pit, occupied by John Redhead, and leased from landowner Cuthbert Ellison.
12 residential homes - some built in 1994.
