22 homes (Nos. 1-22) - eight of them built in 1950, by contractors, Glenn and Leech.
In 1850, this was land known as The Bad Field; occupied by Matthew Laws, and leased from
landowner Cuthbert Ellison.
Named after: Village in Northumberland, England.
