Named after: George Gordon Byron, 6th Baron Byron (22 January 1788 – 19 April 1824), commonly known simply as Lord Byron - English poet and a leading figure in the Romantic movement.
Byron Avenue is named after one of the poets, as is: Shakespeare Avenue, Milton Avenue, Tennyson Avenue, Coleridge Square, Wordsworth Avenue and Kipling Avenue.
