I lived was born in Danesfield Hospital, Jarrow. As far as I know, my mother got burnt with an extremely hot hot water bottle and was unable to look after me so I spent the last few weeks of 1942 at 121 Victoria Road West with my Campbell Grandparents. I was able to go Home to Crawley Ave. early 1943.
I lived there until May or June of 1969 when we moved to Knaresborough having found a better paid job in Harrogate.
I have lived in the Harrogate area ever since.
I consider myself to be a Hebburn lad but have lived longer in North Yorkshire.
Between 1969 and 2005 we moved house twice. 2006 to date we have moved house around 10 to 12 times (lost track). This seems excessive to most of you. But it was for the most part business related.
I may write about it sometime, if just to keep it straight in my memory.
