I had cause to go there earlier this year when I was making arrangements for my mam's funeral. While we were there, my wife asked the priest if she could see the inside of the church, as she had never seen it (we live in the USA). Fr. Simon took us through the presbytery to the church, along a corridor that looked out onto a yard. I had a sudden, clear memory of walking the exact same route 40+ years earlier when I made my first Communion. What a trip down Memory Lane that was!
The church is still beautiful inside, though in need of some repair which seems to be ongoing. It's easily over 30 years since I last set foot in there, but it still brought back a lot of memories.
