The Newcastle Keep re ords a donkey was once thrown off the top to see if it could fly having big ears. It killed 2 spectators! The guildhall was built by Robert Trollap but when he died Newcastle had him buried in Gateshead due to his surname. His gravestone was written as " Here lies Robert Trollap Who made yon stones roll up. When death took his soul up,his body filled this hole up"! It could only happen in Newcastle !
