Re: Update on Hebburn Vicarage wall plaque…
Barry, the chancel foundation stone for St. John's was laid in 1886 and the first vicar was Rev. Edward Johnston. This could be the actual stone as they were sometimes set vertical into a wall like the one shown. The masons tended to use their own style of lettering. However it looks nearest to Times New Roman ? I think there is a link to St. John's. 90% certain.
