Thank you all for your input. The name is definitely FLEURY. The parents were William and Sarah (m.s. HERON) married 1914. There were 8 children born between that date and 1925. I found the youngest, Peter, in 1939 in a R.C. orphanage in Gainford Co. Durham. The mother died in 1927 aged 34. Stan, if you have access to St. Aloysiusí baptisms you probably find all the children. I can give you all the names if that would help. I have tried to find all the siblings but have only been successful with two and one of those, Arthur FLEURY married with a South Shields Registration in 1947. So thanks to JL@TD for looking there.
I was looking for evacuees, going through the Gainford records for 1939 as Mr & Mrs DOBIE from Clegwell took 22 children there and up popped Peter in the orphanage. My feelings got the better of me Iím afraid.
