"Old Catholic Kip" in Michael Lynch's book
Posted by AJG on April 28, 2020, 6:01 pm
I have started reading Michael Lynch's autobiography and really enjoying it. What an interesting look into days gone by!
Anyway, at one point he refers to going to the "Old Catholic Kip" on Lyon Street. I was wondering if Michael or someone else could shed some light on what this was.
Part of the reason I ask is that in one of the songs that Christy Moore sings there is a line "the girls in the Kip proclaimed their love for you" and I always wondered what that referred to. Then lo and behold a similar term shows up in Michael's book.
