The Tudor Shoppe
Posted by AJG on May 5, 2020, 9:14 pm
Apologies if I have asked this question before. Another local landmark that I can remember from when I was young was the Tudor Shoppe. I cannot recall much about it other than when I was a young boy I loved it and when my mam took me there I would get a bag of Matlow's Rainbow Drops, which were multi-coloured rice krispies.
I seem to recall that the Tudor Shoppe eventually became a hair salon and is now a private house, number 90, Victoria Road West. Here's a photo of it that I took last year.
Does anyone else have any memories of the Tudor Shoppe and what else it sold apart from Rainbow Drops? This would have been early 1970s when I was going there.
