I found this article in the Shields Daily Gazette dated Monday 07 January 1901.
The Late Mr. R. A Macnab, Hebburn.-On Saturday afternoon, Mr. Arthur Coote, J.P, managing director of Messrs Hawthorn, Leslie and Co., Hebburn, unveiled, in the presence of the officials of the company, and a number of the friends of the late Mr. R. A. Macnab, a handsome marble monument, erected in Hebburn Cemetery, in memory of the deceased gentleman. Mr. Coote in removing the covering from the monument, referred to the long service, which the late Mr. Macnab had rendered as secretary of the company with which he was connected, and he spoke of the regret with which the directors heard of his death twelve months ago. The monument which he now unveiled, was erected as a tribute of respect and esteem felt for deceased by the officials of the shipyard, and friends
