You can see the White Horse at Kilburn near Sutton Bank which is the southern end of the N Yorks Moors. To the South of that you can see the Yorkshire Wolds.
They are about 25 miles away but there is a haze. In one or two places you can see York Minster if sun at the right angle otherwise it’s just a dark outline.
Another favourite view is just below Greenhow Hill on the Blubberhouses road. There you can see much further, the power station cooling towers Drax etc. To the SE, to the East you can see almost to the coast. Vale of York etc.
One of these days I’ll take my binoculars with me just to see if I can identify places and things.
After Lockdown eases the visibility may not be as good.
