A big thank you to all who bought my book, I now have only 10 books left out of the 200 I self-published.
The Shields Gazette our doing a "piece" on my book in the next week or so.
Dave Morton at the Evening Chronicle is also considering doing a piece.
NTR Sounds, who have a Hebburn Person as part of their Management Team are going to do a "Face to Face interview (via Skype) with me next week.
St. Aloysius Junior School now has a copy in their Staff Room. Copies have been offered to St. Josephs, I am awaiting their reply. The new Clegwell can have a copy but I do not have their contact details?
Copies will be placed in Hebburn Library once it re-opens and also at the "The Word" in South Shields - thanks to South Tyneside Council.
On occasions I have been moved to tears by the comments I have received from old friends/acquintances I have not heard from or seen for decades. Also, sadly to hear from the widows and children of former school and teenage friends who I was not aware had passed away - may they RIP.
I am now exploring how I may produce a 2nd edition via Amazon Kindle, which I will not have to self fund - will keep everyone posted on this!
Finally, as the book was being printed in March I was in hospital seriously, but I ma pleased to say I am making good progress (see photo) and am now able to do two circuits (Half a mile) of the Crescent I live in, thanks to my wonderful carer and soul mate, my wife Sheila.
