I think it likely that the photographer was standing where the green dot is, and looking in the direction of the red arrow.
I believe that the terraced row of houses in the background of the photograph is High Lane Row, in the Colliery, which is not shown on the Britain From Above website.
The short row on High Lane Row (near the railway bridge), did not have loft windows... can anyone remember if the longer row on the map (formerly named 'Low Lane Row' - directly across from the Methodist Chapel) did?
