Carol, Norman has a photo in his albums that may be headed "back of Collins Lane". Because of some background structures (I can explain them if you like), I have always believed that it was the back lane sandwiched between houses on High Lane Row and Fir Street. Wood Street was the one at the other end of the rows with tree names. You might have to find further proof but if I am right, the photo in question shows how very old those rows were with back lane walls made from stone and the rickety old doorways.
