Re: Remember Jarrow Baths?
That photo takes me back. I used to visit my step father's sister at a house just a few doors past the baths on the same side (Walter Street). Her nee name was Frances Siddle and she was married to a man called Jim Derbyshire, a lovely man. He was a quality control inspector at the. Bushing Company Ltd. on South Drive, Hebburn. I worked there in the Chemical Lab from leaving school in 1953 to 1956 when I joined the RAF.
I wish I had a £ for every time I went to The Empire....although you don't get much for a £ these days.
