Re: Those who stood with us in 1940.
There was a Kiwi at Usworth during that time called ? 'Dusty" Miller of Invercargill NZ who later went to Malta and becoming an Ace and winning the DFC.
His aircraft was sent to Russia some time later and was retrieved from a swamp there and later to be restored by the Alpine Pilots Museum Wanaka. Dusty got to meet his old plane before he passed away a few years ago when it Flew at the Wings over Wanaka Shows
