My husband Ian assures me that the shop was run by Scottish brothers Alex and Dougie Reid, initially in Station Road Hebburn then in Railway Street Jarrow. They did ‘made to measure’ suits and menswear in general.
Cannot be specific other than they were around from at least the mid sixties to mid seventies.

Something in the back of my mind is telling me that there was a shop in Railway St, Jarrow, where one could take items to be repaired or altered. I sort of remember going as a boy.
If it is the shop we are looking for I would put its domicile in Railway St in the 50's.
