Re: Britains got Talent tonight
Many years later I met Akim in the central station one Saturday. He was taking his two children out for the day. He said people were looking at us and he still felt bad about me losing my job years ago. I just laughed my head off and told him he did me the biggest favour. Years after that I met his daughter who had grown up by then working in M&S Newcastle but still remembered me. It was then she told me of her father's suicide because he could no longer take racial abuse in Newcastle where he lived. Someone said to me it was foolish to lose my job because of it all but looking back I'd do it again. What is a job compared with human life?
