Lillian, I am a Morpeth Town Football Club supporter. I miss going to their picturesque ground and taking my bag of chips to my season ticket holders seat marked "Reserved". When we are once again allowed to attend the matches, if there is any sign of the degrading knee bend, I will leave and not return. In my life I have never known anyone who thought that slavery was anything other than abominable. We do not require to be subjected to the sight of overpaid prima-donners genuflecting as if before some supernatural being. It sickens me. If the BLM supporters think that as a white man I continue to enjoy the fruits of the slavery practice, they may be correct - I really don't know. What I do know is that in this land which they despise so much, they enjoy every right and benefit which may be offered to me. I had nothing to do with the evil practice of slavery. My near ancestors struggled to survive working in dreadful conditions too. Those conditions no longer exist. Nor does the slavery of which they wish me to be so contrite. I have had enough of this subject and feel as if the BLM organisation are benefiting by believing my discomfort is in their interests. It is not. My life long tolerance and acceptance of the black man is being stretched to breaking point.
