Re: Q. - Peter Johnson.
Peter Johnson was 4th Abbot of Abbey on the Isle of Wight. He was a very clever man writing books in different languages and teaching music in the Vatican. I was in touch with Peter for a long time but when he suffered massive brain tumours I lost touch. When he came back to Hebburn for burial I sat in the funeral parlour with him for the last hour. I attended his funeral with Michael White, Francis Craney and Edward McAtominey. To see 19 monks on the altar dressed in white was very emotional as we all found out. Another great Hebburn man.
