We’re both running in the late 18000’s or have the Willington Quay one closed.
It seems odd that in Hebburn it was the Tyne Works ( Sulpher & Copper) on a later map. Of course the mapmaker could have got it wrong or maybe the locals called it one thing and others something different.
I have seen mention that the Hebburn works had a 190 foot high chimney and is shown in some photo’s.
Tried to Google info. But it seems a bit hit and miss what you find. Will have to try again later.
The important thing is Tharsis in Hebburn was there in around 1884 ish as my G G/F worked there when he got married ( In Part of Tynemouth) having moved up from near Swansea after 1881.
Thanks lads for confirming what I had found.
