Re: BBC2 last night on the bombing of Clydebank in WW11
Well it was worth the post. My Grandfathers brother moved up to Glasgow in 1914 ish. I know that he lived in Dalmuir which was close to that bombing.
Regretfully the powers that be in Scotland have not released the 1939 Records and won’t do until 2039 unless there is a change but that’s doubtful. Did you see the size of the family, 16 in 2 flats. Having said that my mothers sister was married to a chap who’s parents had about 17-20 children and they lived in Buchanan St. Hebburn.
