Re: The Mail Today - The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Recently the prime objective of some writers is to re-arrange our history. This is just another of such objectives. Only last week there was a BBC report (who else) of the publication of a new book - Behind the Enigma. The author, Professor John Ferris of the University of Calgary claims that Bletchley Park did not play a significant part in winning ww2. I ask myself why do they do it? the answer always comes back to money. I put professor Ferris with those who claim the Holocaust never happened and The Flat Earthists. To them, it is more important to be different - not necessarily correct and honest. The unknown soldier was who we expect him to be, unknown. Leave it at that. It works for its purpose.
