We have spent a few afternoons starting to prepare for Christmas, the shopping list is prepared, we are convinced that some kind of lockdown will be in place quite soon, annoying if in our area as not so many cases but if lockdown happens then nothing we can do about it. We have started buying non perishable food stuffs that we will need for Christmas, we will also buy food that can be frozen, it is not panic buying it is being prepared just in case.
It is quite incredible how many jobs around the house have now been done to satisfaction, bulbs have been planted in the garden, all summer things have been cleaned down and stored away ready for next year. Rather than wait until December and run the risk of a lockdown we will arrange for the oil tank to be filled up in November.
I hope that in the event of another lockdown It will not be as severe as the last total lockdown, the other thing I hope doesn’t happen is queuing for food shopping, I really hated that.
I guess this Christmas we will all have to make the best of it and hope that things will be better next year - fingers crossed.
