Geordie was fishing off South Shields pier along with other members of his angling club. They had been there for four hours and not caught a fish between them. A young lad was fishing with a bent pin and a ball of string. Beside him was a fish weighing over seven pound. His mate came down the pier and asked him about his catch. “Whaat kind of fish is it?” he asked. The lad said, “Ah divvent knaa, but that bloke over there told me it was a bloody fluke!”
