ok,have racked my brains and here goes.Power for the crusher was from 2x diesel generators.turned up one morning to find a forlorn fitter looking at 2x radiators on said gennys full of holes from air guns=whole site shut down.material from heap was extracted by a ruston bucyrus face shovel.This fed an avelling barford rd 017 dumptruck which fully loaded reversed up a ski slope to discharge into the crusher. aggregate was then piled by a front loader for waiting tippers.once loaded tippers went on weigh bridge [avery] and thanks to harry leybourne of felling who operated a daf tipper i got on the central motorway before it opened.also into a and p yard and wessington way sunderland,most of the equipment mentioned was uk but a haulier called f dixon junior had a fleet of volvos and the rest is history BTW the site was owned by tarmac,
