Re: Wooden Bridge, 1980s...
I was born and bread in 15 Campbell Street. The photo gives a foreshortened view down from the wooden bridge, down the side of what used to be the hill. The empty space from the long grasses would be where Cambell St used to be. From that view it hardly seems possible numbers 1 to 21 on the left looking down to Argyle St with numbers 2 to 48 on the right. That and the surrounding streets either side, down to the shipyards and up over the bridge to the 'gulf links', that was my world 1927 to 1943. They are, in my memory, still the same. Thanks for the memories.
