Several reasons seem to show that the photograph of the children in both pics below were taken at the back of the nursery school, indicated by the red dot on the map below:

1. The brickwork pattern is similar on both pics.
2. I agree with Norman that that sheet is on a line. Note the shadow of the line post on the sheet.
3. Washing lines are usually at the rear of properties.
4. Nurseries close early, so the angle of the shadows at that hour could only be at the back of the nursery, which indicates that both photographs were taken mid-morning, when the sun was high, at the location of the red dot:
