Alice your PR for the BBC is commendable. Yes it has its good points but please forgive those who believe that there are some serious shortcomings!
These are often from the people who you disdain in your phrase...

It may be a surprise to you but high level salaries are not exclusive to the South where there are also below average wage earners!
The point is the level of payments made within enhanced redundancy packages come at a time when many of the less well off pensioners, North and South, have been asked to pay in order to support the BBC budget.
