I would think Dad would as always out in Garden after 1977.

The Tweddell name familiar but cannot remember. An Arthur Tweddell ? Dad knew a LOT of people. I could never keep up with the various names. I suppose it was due to Reyrolle’s having worked his way up from an apprentice to senior management, being a shop steward, foreman etc.

He knew a lot of people through his father a Leslie’s man. Both in the Specials. Then there would be Dad playing professional football in the early 30’s. Even G/F was a ref after being a goalkeeper. Both were goalkeepers.

I’m sure that I got my apprenticeship at Palmers through a friend of Grandfather, Joe Banks who was a section leader in Palmers DO. He lived across the road from G/F in Newton Terrace. It was many years later ( 40) that I connected the dots as to what may have happened. My best bet anyway.
