I think Lockdown is inevitable as unpalatable as it will be & after all the sacrifices we have endured to date it is something that in my view must be done to buy us some time until the Covid Vaccines can be administered & start making an impact on the population of this country. If I had any doubt about the seriousness of this Pandemic, that was laid to rest on GMB this morning in an interview with Dave Carr an ITU nurse who said the NHS has never been under so much pressure ever in his 38 years in the NHS & is at absolute breaking point. The NHS is massively understaffed & they do not have the numbers to cope. These Nightingale Hospitals are largely White Elephants because they don't have the numbers to Man them. If we don't have this Lockdown our NHS will just haemorrhage out of control. So in my view we have NO CHOICE.
I say it again we have to take the short term pain for the long term gain.
