I wore spectacles in the late 1920s Went to the clinic on Argyle Street to have them made and fitted-- have needed 'specs' ever since - now have four pairs, each for a different need- every day-reading-close computer work, sun glasses- can't stand strong sunlight- still have the same eyes- well sort of!.
I have a friend who has dozens of pairs- all the same prescription- he just can't ever remember where he put the last pair he used, the are scattered all over the place , inside and out so where ever he is he has a pair handy.
